Weee!

The Colemans are here! Yay! So far a great weekend. We went to Hollis Flea Market today for a jaunt and despite toddler meltdowns in the sudden heat, we all did pretty well and ended up all getting something. The girls got beanie baby iguanas (the same ones to avoid squabbles), Patrick got a comic book and I got a 1930's print of the Virgin Mary with sacred heart in a battered old frame. Yes yes I know I owe pictures, which I shall post maybe this week.

I drove Patrick's car home for the first time, and stalled it once at the lights because I hadn't got the hang of where the gears were on his car. 1. I HAVEN'T DRIVEN 'STICK' SINCE 2008 and 2. EVERYTHING IS BACK TO FRONT IN AMERICA. (Hence why when I drive Rusty's automatic car, I don't know what to do with my right hand, so I just sit with it between my legs. It is so funny, it is like when you are a cuddling lying down and you always have an arm that is squashed or redundant hahaha. I was glad Patrick wasn't in the car as I would have been worried that he would have barked orders at me, even though he is really good about that and tried really hard not too)

Last night we all watched a lot of new IT crowd. (PLOPPERS!) Thursday night Patrick and I watched Valhalla Rising which was so good. The review sums it up. It is really visually amazing and not your standard adventure slash slash punch movie. Really thoughtful and eerie. The soundtrack is fantastic too. I highly recommend it! And Mads MIkklesen is in it (remember him from Casino Royale being all hot and smouldering and evil? Cooor I definitely would have.)

Oh! Did anyone watch True Blood tonight? I feel that those postmortems are getting a bit long now because according to our clck the actual episode ended like 11 minutes early and we had that crappy filler instead. I would much rather have had more True Blood than some fluff piece instead.

Oh! Big news, my phone interview guy emailed me at 21.41 asking if I could go in for an interview on either Tues - Thurs this week. Rusty isn't back until late Wed so I said Thursday. To be emailing me that late on a Sunday night must mean he is busy! I must get this job so I can make his life easier! Admin, thall shalt be done.

Not much else to report, The Colemans are staying another night, yay, so tomorrow we'll see what we can do, maybe some fun and games whilst Patrick is at work.

Oh, I lost like another pound since my weigh in, so yay me!

I just can not understand the IT Crowd adoration in the UK. Every episode I've seen is simply dreadful. It just doesn't make sense to me at all. Maybe I'm growing too disconnected from the UK...
