Okay so this is a mammoth update because although I have posted a bit, I have neglected to update you all on important various things. I will separate them into paragraphs for ease.
Money
I have also been looking through his/now mine finances to see if we can speed things up and get us to where we need to be. (I need to add more babies to that image without Patrick realising haha!) Going okay. It's not great, but it'll get there in the end. ALSO I don't recall if I mentioned it but YOURS TRULY told the lawyers (who are really great actually) what for and they, without questioning, told us to knock $507 off the bill. Huzzah! 1: the common man 0: fancy lawyers.
Doing other non internetty stuff
I do actually do stuff off the internet. Here is my cross stitch sampler that I am nearly finished, which basically documents mine and Patrick's marriage and our love for tattoos! Hah! I saw the heart on the subversive cross stitch website, but didn't buy it or anything, so just pretty much winged doing my own one from looking at it on my laptop screen. Here it is so far (my surname is not AYLOR, I just haven't finished it yet. Sheesh:
Immigration stuff
Oh my goshygoodness! Today in the mail I got a notice for my interview already! How exciting and nerve wrecking already! 1st March 2010 is when I go in. That could mean that we could have me working sooner than I thought which will help fund The Dream™ and just generally be awesome. My Dad has finally officialised (I KNOW ITS NOT A WORD BUT SCREW YOU! THIS IS NEW HAMPSHIRE! LIVE FREE OR DIE!) his plans for a visit and is coming 21st May - 29th May. So excited because I miss my slightly mad father and I know he misses us. Well I know he misses Adelaide and Patrick a lot because he keeps telling me so. I'd like to think he misses me even though sometimes he doesn't mention it and talks about his shed. No really, he talks about his shed. Basically he used to have three sheds and after the summer late last year he got rid of some of them and had a tidy up, because he said the garden looked like a Brazilian favela and he thought that one day he might go out there to find a family of illegal immigrations hiding out there amongst the bikes, empty suitcases, out of date Gaviscon and other work paraphernalia he keeps in there. So he got rid of them and scaled it all down to one. Anyway, it was all singing and all dancing and Olie my brother and some of my Dad's "reliable handymen type help" put it up for him. Well, you should have heard the rant I got about it because it was leaking and the poor work that the handytypes/Olie had done. When I looked baffled at him (god bless videoing on Skype) he realised he would not get any sympathy from me and demanded to speak to Patrick because "Only a man would understand such complexities and appreciate all that makes a good shed!" Or something to that effect. Cheek! And in typical "My-Dad" style we had to have this conversation about 8 times over the course of a month until he had stopped fuming about it and found someone else to rant about it to.
I have actually only known about the interview for a mere hour so I am still giddy hence the silliness of this entire post.
Adelaide
Addie is being her funny little self. The other day we took her out in the snow finally. I know I have been slacking but really, it has been flippin' balls cold. Like -12°C. And I get super cold. So I expect she does too even though she is a radiator like her father. Anywhoooo, I will post pictures of her desperately trying to eat the snow as we whooshed her up and down the drive and across the snow on the lawn, which was an epic fail because it went over my boots and we couldn't pull her and the sled toppled over! Speaking of Addie, now we have my interview appointment we really need to pull our finger out and get her RECOGNISED by INS. RECOGNISE!
Anyway, am offski for now!

Whew! I feel tired just reading this! Good luck with all of that. My dad has a huge collection of sheds too, but he won't wittle down. Oh well...
I am loving The Dream, very inventive and made me really smile this morning, which was good.
Dying to see pictures of Addie in the snow too and find it weird that she needs to recognised, sounds complicated but also, slightly amusing, but that's probably just me.
Oh, and am loving the cross stitch, I think when I can afford the shipping etc, I'll get a Subversive Cross stitch because I am a real beginner, and not a pro like you.
Glad to hear your immigration is coming along - it's a huge pain in the arse, but totally worth it.
your Dad sounds like mine, except I have heard the shed story on & off for three years. after my parents divorced, they moved into smaller properties & my Dad regrets the loss of his shed or has he calls it his "livelihood".
