Moanday

Hello all! I hope you had a pleasant weekend? Mine was very nice, but as always it just goes too darn fast. Patrick and I went out Saturday night for our friend Kristina's birthday. We went for chinese/sushi (depending on your menu preference) in a group, and then on for some drinks. It was fun. Ginger ale for me and Patrick though. We then went to this random place for karioke. Adam did his as always excellent rendition of You Gotta Fight yadda yadda ... by the Beastie Boys and yours truly took a break from the Abba and did The Heat Is On by Glenn Frey for a change.

We also did some drastic money scrambling as this month has been tough with many birthdays and car registration and servicing. Eeek. I sometimes feel like we've taken a big step backwards, after so much budgeting and planning, but really, March and April have been costly, and we are generally pretty frugal with our money. I think we'll be okay though. I just can't wait to get a job so we can move and not be around crazies anymore. Coralene, if you are reading this, please ask me about the latest. We really need to start our own website to document our experiences and make people see that they are not the only ones.

Now, movie news! Patrick and his friend Nate have started this movie website review thing, and I have been helping. My first review was published today, for the shittiest film... Whiteout! If you get a chance, please check it out and comment on any of the reviews for movies you have seen, if you agree or not. It would be nice to get some feedback that isn't spam comments and also if you want to submit your own reviews you can too.

We watched the Road on Friday night and oh my goodness it is hard going. Amazing, but hard going. More so since I have become a parent. I won't ruin it for you, but Viggo Mortensen and his son are trying to find somewhere safe to be after some kind of hugely horrific apocalyptic event. It is pretty harsh and there are people trying to eat them and stuff like that. His son is so innocent it broke my heart. I just kept thinking about Adelaide and cried like a girl a ton of times. It is really good though.

Not much else to report. Everyone is still bat shit crazy.

My brain has only just clicked about the Road. Andy read the book a couple of weeks ago and he said it was so heavy going, again, especially as we've got Scarlett. Will have to put it on our LoveFilm list...

^haha... like a blog?

Did you have sushi? I love it but we only have one good sushi restaurant here... wait two, but still, and they're both always packed. Once I ordered sushi from a place by my house and when I picked it up and brought it home, it was WARM! Vomit!
