MAPS MAPS MAPS

Inspired by my curtain purchase (see my last entry) and whilst I am in the decorating mood... I also really want THESE:

And this one:

Although I have totally put the kibosh on buying any more stuff for the walls because I have 4 PRINTS SITTING IN TUBES RIGHT NOW. I think Patrick might have some too actually somewhere. I wish decent framing wasn't so expensive.

There is also another children's French world map I want for Adelaide's room. OH GOD WHY ARE THERE SUCH NICE THINGS ON THE INTERNET TO LOOK AT!

That's a cute thing to collect though, I like it. I have a map that Madeline worked on in preschool. It's of Africa, and she filled "WASHINGTON" in where Algeria is, haha. She had the right idea anyways, wrong continent sadly/cutely.

Cutely?

You need to visit one of my favourite places in New England to get a ridiculous offering of old maps (plus a million other amazing things). It's a big barn-type building in Newburyport, MA, just off the main high street. Seaside antiques, maps, paintings, thrift store type items, clothes, vintage everything - so amazing. Before we leave the Northeast I'm going to go in there and buy loads of maps of New England to frame.

Congrats on new job in Harvard Square, by the way - you'll be just round the corner from me!
